WSIB
Mental Health
Program of Care
Formerly known as WSIB's Community Mental Health Program
What is WSIB's Mental Health Program of Care?
The WSIB Program connects injured workers with qualified community‑based mental health providers for psychological assessment and treatment. Services are authorized and funded by WSIB when there is an approved claim.
At our clinic, we work closely with WSIB case managers to ensure care is aligned with program requirements while remaining client‑centred and clinically appropriate.
Eligibility
The WSIB Mental Health Program is available to individuals who have an active WSIB claim or claim recurrence and are experiencing psychological difficulties related to a workplace injury or work-related event.
This may include individuals who:
-
Have experienced a psychological reaction following a work-related physical injury
-
Have been affected by a traumatic workplace incident
-
Have experienced the impact of repeated or cumulative workplace stressors
-
Are coping with traumatic mental stress, chronic mental stress, or work-related PTSD, including first responder PTSD
