About Talia
Talia Vacca is currently a Ph.D student in the Clinical and Counselling Psychology program at the University of Toronto.​ She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University.
Talia gained clinical experience through her practicum placements at the University of Toronto’s OISE Psychology Clinic, Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She has worked with individuals experiencing treatment-resistant OCD, mood and anxiety disorders, and borderline personality disorder. Talia also provides affirming care for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and supports clients in navigating gender-affirming medical interventions.
Talia takes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring her work to meet the unique needs of each client. Her practice draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
