Talia Vacca is currently a Ph.D student in the Clinical and Counselling Psychology program at the University of Toronto.

She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University.

 

Training and Approach: Talia gained clinical experience through her practicum placements at the University of Toronto’s OISE Psychology Clinic, where she provided both assessment and treatment services. She worked primarily with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use concerns, complex trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. Talia takes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring her work to meet the unique needs of each client. Her practice draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Presenting Concerns: Talia provides treatment for the following presenting concerns to adolescents and adults:

Generalized Anxiety Disorder | Social Anxiety Disorder | Depression/Low Mood | Eating Disorders & Body Image | Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) | Substance Use | Personality Disorders | ADHD | Relationship Issues ​
