About Anisha

Anisha Jahagirdar is a Ph.D. student in the Clinical and Counselling Psychology program at the University of Toronto. She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University.

Anisha developed her clinical skills during her practicum placement at the OISE Psychology Clinic at the University of Toronto, where she provided both assessment and psychotherapy services. She primarily supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, complex trauma, and life transitions. Anisha’s approach to therapy is collaborative, gentle, and exploratory. She works flexibly and thoughtfully, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities - including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and exploratory talk therapy - to meet the unique needs of each client. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel free to fully express themselves, explore new insights, and work toward living in alignment with their values. Anisha enjoys working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities, and believes that a trusting, empathetic therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful change.
