Micah Tumamao she/her

Micah Tumamao is an upcoming graduate who completed her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Toronto, specializing in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She developed a strong foundation in psychological theory and research, with a personalized interest concerning health and social psychology topics such as interpersonal behaviours, social influence and cognition, and overall mental health.

Micah gained academic experience through her time abroad last summer in Oxford, England, where she learned about social and historical barriers surrounding psychological experiences of disability, fostering her passion towards implementing effective supports within unrecognized communities. While Micah has yet to begin formal training in clinical practice, she plans to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) to enhance her comprehension of evidence-based treatments and apply psychological theory within a professional setting. Micah is passionate about understanding the unique contexts that shape personal experience and is eager to contribute her efforts to help navigate complex life challenges through collaborative care.
