About the event
Starting university is an exciting new chapter, but the transition from high school to undergraduate studies can also feel overwhelming. This free, 1-hour virtual workshop is designed to help incoming university students feel more prepared, confident, and ready for what’s ahead.
Led by Clinical Psychologist Dr. Danielle Kofler, alongside recent and current undergraduate students, we’ll discuss what university is really like and what students can expect during their first year. We’ll cover academic expectations, time management, independence, finances, making friends, managing stress, and finding support.
You’ll leave with practical strategies, honest insights, and tips and tricks from students who have been through the transition themselves, and a better understanding of where to turn when you need help.
While the workshop is especially relevant for students entering psychology programs, the information and strategies are applicable to students entering any undergraduate program.
